Village Art Insights is a collaborative series with Jessica Sebastian, the art specialist at the senior living facility where I work. Having begun on this series in late August 2020, in the nine months since then, we have published nine videos on art, whereby she sheds light and insights on the artistic aspects and background, while I provide a Jewish angle on the art.
The origin of the series came about due to the residents at the senior living facility where we work having been largely confined to their rooms and programming unable to take place. As such, we came up with this series to bring these Jewish art insights to the residents. Some of the presentations are those of art in the building, while the other presentations are those outside of the building.
While the first two presentations in this series were recorded on my phone, all of the presentations that follow were recorded on equipment sponsored by the Harkavy Committee.
