The senior living facility where I have been serving as the Director of Pastoral Care for 23 months, Cedar Village, was sold eight days ago. Having been bought by Indiana Senior Housing Health Care Properties on 1 June 2018 from Jewish Home of Cincinnati, Cedar Village was under the management of CarDon & Associates for 201.5 weeks, 110 of which were under pandemic precautions. The press release announcing the sale (which was released eight days ago, although I just came across today) is available below:
Effective April 11, 2022, Majestic Management has entered into an arrangement to acquire CarDon & Associates Inc. of Cedar Village. Majestic Care of Cedar Village and Majestic Care of Cedar Village Assisted Living will join 26 other skilled nursing and 6 assisted living locations throughout Indiana, Ohio, and Michigan that all operate under the name of Majestic Care. The organization will provide post-acute care services to approximately 227 seniors and employ greater than 250 Care Team members.

Majestic Care looks to strengthen the healthcare landscape throughout our communities by providing specialized clinical services based off the needs of each location. While providing short-term rehabilitation in the Majestic Movement (MVMT) units, Majestic Care of Cedar Village will also provide long-term care, assisted living, aquatic therapy, and Memory Care through Majestic Gardens programming service. Additionally, we offer other services at select facilities including Ventilator Care, and Dialysis Care. Majestic Care’s mission is to keep the individualized needs of those they serve at the heart of all decisions. The focus of the organization is on the Care Team members, those who provide the hands-on care. Majestic Care has introduced the Majestic Difference for the over 2,330 team members, which includes a free smartphone with services paid, quarterly pay increases, weekly pay, free telehealth services, discounted housing in select markets, double pay on holidays, and much more.
Majestic Management is based in Westfield, IN and will now manage a total of 27 skilled nursing locations and 7 assisted livings in Indiana, Michigan, and Ohio. We will now employ over 974 Care Team members throughout our Ohio communities.
